Carlisle Congregational Church was organized in February 1781 by thirty members committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word. Over the centuries, the church has remained rooted in biblical faith and continues to grow in meaningful relationship with God and one another.
We are part of the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC), and we joyfully affirm core truths of historic Christianity. These include the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Savoy Declaration—a 17th-century statement that connects us to the rich reformed and congregational tradition, helping us stay grounded in Scripture.
What defines us most isn’t just our history, but the God who calls us—and the mission He’s entrusted to us: to make disciples committed to Jesus’ gospel, growing in relationships, and partnering on His mission in Carlisle and beyond.
